Live Reading Studio

A caring classroom needs a clear agreement.

These promises help every reader feel safe, seen, and ready to learn in our online small group.

Last updated: August 15, 2026

The short version. A grown-up enrolls the child. Other enrolled families may see and hear the child during the group. No family may record, photograph, or share a Studio session.

1. Adult permission

The enrolling adult confirms that they are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or that they have permission from the parent or legal guardian to enroll the child.

The adult gives Read. Play. Atelier. permission to use the child information provided during enrollment to place and teach the child in the appropriate Studio.

2. A small online group

Live Studios take place through Zoom. Children learn alongside other enrolled readers.

A child’s first name, voice, camera image, work, and comments may be seen or heard by Ms. Ashley and the other children and adults present in that Studio.

Families agree to protect what they see and hear. A child’s learning needs, comments, name, image, or work should not be shared outside the group.

3. No recording or screenshots

Read. Play. Atelier. does not record routine Live Studio sessions.

Participants may not record, photograph, take screenshots, copy the chat, or share any part of a session.

If RPA ever wants to record or photograph a child for another purpose, the parent or guardian will receive a separate written request. Joining the Studio is not permission for promotional use.

4. Ready to learn

  • Join from a quiet, appropriate space when possible.
  • Use the child’s first name only on Zoom.
  • Keep the camera where the child and learning space can be seen when the activity needs it.
  • A child may briefly turn the camera off when privacy or regulation is needed.
  • Keep private messages, screen sharing, and file sharing off unless Ms. Ashley invites them.
  • A grown-up should remain nearby and available for younger readers.

5. A kind classroom

Children may think, try, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Families agree to use kind words and protect the learning space.

RPA may mute, pause, move, or end a child’s participation when behavior creates a privacy, safety, or learning concern. Ms. Ashley will contact the grown-up when a new plan is needed.

6. Technology and supervision

The enrolling adult is responsible for a working device, internet connection, and a safe place for the child to participate.

Children should join through the family’s Zoom link. Children should not create their own Zoom account.

7. Attendance and Studio rhythm

Most Studio weeks are live. Select weeks include a guided recorded Studio prepared by Ms. Ashley.

Because groups are intentionally small, missed live sessions are not guaranteed to be made up. A child may join another appropriate group only when Ms. Ashley approves it and space is available.

8. Monthly membership

The Live Reading Studio is $149 per month. It renews automatically each month until cancelled.

Cancel before the next billing date to stop the next charge. Access continues through the current paid period. Time already provided and missed sessions are not normally refundable, except when required by law.

Families may cancel through their account billing settings or by emailing msashleyreadingcoach@gmail.com.
