Read. Play. Atelier. was created by Ashley Testerman, M.Ed. Ashley is a reading specialist with 19 years of real students. She founded Ms. Ashley Reading Coach and built Read. Play. Atelier. to bring literacy support to families everywhere.

Read. Play. Atelier. is not a worksheet site. It is built around story, play, and the Science of Reading. Tools are designed for specific skills. Resources are organized by what a child can actually do right now. The goal is one clear next step.

The Reading Library is a paid membership with guided lessons, printables, and a full shelf of tools organized by Reading World, including Word Decoder, Word Blenders, Syllable Quest, Fluency Coach, Meaning Maker, and Brain Builder.

The Reading Library is a clear home path for growing readers. It gives families short lessons, tools, printables, and guided practice matched to a child's reading stage. No worksheet pile. No guessing. Just the next right step.

The Reading Library is $37 per month, or $370 per year with two months free. Membership renews until canceled. Your child receives short lessons with Ms. Ashley, video and audio teaching, practice tools, and a path matched to their Reading World.

Read. Play. Atelier. supports children from preschool through middle school. The Reading Worlds span roughly ages 3 through 14. Placement is based on reading skill, not grade level. Children begin where they actually are.

Four reading stages. Land of Letters, for children building their first sound and letter awareness. Land of Words, for children learning how words work. Book Journeys, for readers using text to build meaning and knowledge. Character Compass, for readers building analysis, writing, and independence.

The Reading World Map is the storyworld behind the phonics and decoding curriculum. The four public stages help adults identify where a reader is now. Inside the Reading Library, each stage opens into a child-friendly learning world.

Inside the Reading Library, they are the kid-facing worlds for the first two reading stages. The Land of Letters is where Pre-Readers begin, noticing letters and sounds. The Land of Words is where beginning and emerging readers grow, putting sounds together into real words. Together, they form the beginning of the reading journey.

Brain Builder supports focus, working memory, planning, organization, and self-monitoring. These are the skills that help readers use what they know with increasing independence.

Ms. Ashley Reading Coach is the professional brand of Ashley Testerman, M.Ed. Ashley is a reading specialist based in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has worked with real students for over 19 years and supports families locally and online.

Yes. Ms. Ashley offers one-on-one reading coaching via Zoom and in person in New Orleans. Every family starts with a free fifteen minute call, then chooses a 30, 45, or 60 minute session.
