Your family’s information has a purpose.

1. Who we are

Read. Play. Atelier. is operated by Ms. Ashley Reading Coach in New Orleans, Louisiana. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to msashleyreadingcoach@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

• Adult account information. Name, email address, sign-in information, membership status, and account activity handled through Memberstack.
• Payment information. Payment and billing information is processed by Memberstack’s connected payment services. Read. Play. Atelier. does not store full card numbers.
• Coaching session information. A grown-up may provide the child’s first name, age, grade, and reading goals or concerns so Read. Play. Atelier. can plan and teach the child appropriately.
• Coaching sessions. Zoom processes the names, real-time audio, optional camera video, chat, and standard device or connection information used during a session. Read. Play. Atelier. does not record routine coaching sessions. In small-group sessions, the other participants can see and hear the names, audio, and video that each participant shares.
• Reading Check information. An adult may provide an optional first name, email address, and the child’s resulting reading stage. The detailed answers are used in the browser to create the result and are not intentionally saved by Read. Play. Atelier.’s submission endpoint.
• Browser-saved learning information. A child’s first name, selected stage, and activity completion marks may be stored locally on the family’s device.
• Public website analytics. On public, grown-up-facing pages, Google Analytics may receive page visits, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, device information, and referral information.
• Messages. Information a grown-up sends through email or support requests.

3. How we use information

• Provide and protect family accounts and Library access.
• Process memberships and payments.
• Prepare a useful learning path for the child.
• Provide live online instruction through Zoom.
• Deliver Reading Check results and requested email resources.
• Remember a child’s learning path on the family’s device.
• Understand whether public pages are working and useful.
• Respond to support, privacy, and safety requests.
• Meet legal, tax, accounting, and security responsibilities.

4. Services that help Read. Play. Atelier. operate

We share information only as needed with service providers. These include Memberstack and its connected payment services for accounts, checkout, and recurring billing. Vercel hosts the website. Flodesk sends parent-requested email. Zoom provides live online sessions. Google Analytics measures public pages. Google Fonts provides typefaces. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety and security, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice.

5. What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not show behavioral advertising to children.
• We do not ask children to create email-based accounts.
• We do not use a child’s learning information to build an advertising profile.

6. Retention

• Adult account information is kept while the account is active and for up to 12 months after it closes.
• Coaching details and learning notes are kept while the child is working with Read. Play. Atelier. and for up to 12 months afterward. They are then deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is needed for a safety concern, dispute, or legal duty.
• Parent consent and payment records may be kept for up to seven years after the related transaction or membership ends so Read. Play. Atelier. can meet tax, accounting, and legal duties.
• Support messages may be kept for up to two years after the conversation ends.
• Routine coaching sessions are not recorded by Read. Play. Atelier..
• Browser-saved information remains on the family’s device until it is cleared.

A parent or guardian may request deletion sooner. Some records may need to be kept when law, safety, payment, or a current dispute requires it.

7. Your choices

Adults may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with their family account or child. A parent or guardian may also withdraw permission for future collection or coaching participation. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful before permission was withdrawn. Adults may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in any Flodesk email. Browser storage can be cleared through browser settings, although this may reset progress and preferences.

8. Security

Read. Play. Atelier. uses HTTPS and relies on established providers for hosting, account access, and payments. No online service can promise perfect security. Please use a strong password and contact us if you believe an account has been accessed improperly.

We may update this policy as Read. Play. Atelier. grows. The date above shows the latest revision. Questions or requests may be sent to msashleyreadingcoach@gmail.com.
