Built for meaningful literacy work.

Every partnership begins with the same question. How can this help children understand reading, remember what they learn, and feel ready to keep going?

A clear reading path

Skill-sequenced learning helps families see where a child is and what comes next.

Learning through making

Books, tools, art, and purposeful play help new reading skills stick.

Reading specialist guidance

Every experience is shaped by 19 years of teaching children to read.

A four to six week pilot.

A structured literacy program that understands how creative children learn. Schools, libraries, and community organizations can try it with their own readers before deciding what comes next.

Who it serves

Children from pre-readers through advanced readers. Each reader begins at their own place on the reading path.

What it teaches

Letter sounds, blending, decoding, fluency, and comprehension. Explicit, systematic, evidence-based instruction comes first.

How creativity helps

Reading worlds, stories, movement, and art give each new skill a place to grow. Play supports practice. It never replaces teaching.

How progress is measured

A Reading Check at the start and the end shows where each reader began. Partners see the skill each reader is ready for next.

What a pilot could include

Reading Library access for participating families, a kickoff with Ms. Ashley, and a short summary at the close.

How to take part

Every pilot begins with one conversation. We shape the size, timing, and setting together.

Every child enters the map at a different place.

Read. Play. Atelier. helps families see where their child is right now and what comes next.
